How did I light this?

I was playing around with some stuff and testing some tethered shooting and came up with this image.  The light source actually surprised me a bit, can you tell what's lighting my face?  I'll give you a hint, look into my eyes...  The answer, after the jump

(On a side note, I sincerely apologize for subjecting you to such a close up view of my face.  I just wanted to get as close as I could to a pair of eyes.  And at 2am, my eyes were the only ones that were open)

So I was sitting on a chair, with my laptop in front of me on a tray and directly behind that was my tripod mounted camera tethered to my laptop.  I had it positioned so it was pretty much in the same place as a webcam would be(when attached to your laptop's screen).  So what lit my face?  One light source.  If you look closely at my right eye, you can see a rectangle of light which is the light coming from my laptop.  Actually, if you look really close, you can see what my camera was displaying(which is my eyes again).  Originally, as an impulse buy I picked up these lights to do this with.  But the lights were pretty weak, they looked like a silly string of christmas lights.  I guess it isn't bad when you consider they're powered by just a couple AA batteries.  But I'm going to be return these lights tomorrow.
